Photo: Elizabeth Barrow formerly Draper b. 29th Oct 1825, in Newburgh, Lanc's. The Daughter of Henry Draper, boatman of Dalton and Elizabeth (Betty) Harrison. Like her parents Elizabeth worked the boats on The Leeds & Liverpool Canal. When she married my 3x Gt-grandfather John Barrow she and the children often joined him on the Mersey Flat he captained. Elizabeth was a fine boatwoman. She died 15th Feb 1904 aged 78 and is buried in the churchyard at Christ Church, Newburgh within Lathom, Lancashire.
